What it is like
A bamboo. It grows 15-18 m tall. The stems (culms) are 10-15 cm across. The tips droop slightly. The internodes are 26-32 cm long. The walls are thick. There are several branches.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. In southern China it grows between 300-1,100 m above sea level. In Yunnan.
