What it is like

A sedge. It keeps growing from year to year. The rhizomes are short and hardened. The stems are 35-70 cm tall. They are 3 sided. The leaves are 1 cm wide. They are flat.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It grows in shaded places in scrub and grasslands near water. In southern China it grows between 100-500 m above sea level.
