What it is like

An erect twining shrub. It grows 50-75 cm tall. The bark is greyish. The leaves are 3-8 mm long by 2-5 mm wide. The flowers are in groups of 2-6 flowers. They are green. The fruit are follicles that hang down. They are 35 mm long by 7 mm wide. The seeds are oval and 6 mm long by 3.5 mm wide. They have wings and are hairy.

Also put in the family Asclepiadaceae.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. In Somalia it grows between 700-850 m altitude on limestone hills.
