What it is like

An annual climber. The leaves are simple and broadly oval. The flowers are of separate sexes in the axils of leaves. The male flowers are in groups of 2-3 while the female flowers occur singly. They are yellow. The fruit are 12-15 cm long and 5-8 cm wide. Now Cucumis melo.
