What it is like

A herb. It has an underground stem or rhizome. It keeps growing from year to year. It has one or a few stems 25-65 cm tall. They are hairy at the top. The leaves are mostly at the base and in a ring. They are narrowly oval and 5-16 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. The leaf stalk has a wing.


Where it is found

It is a temperate plant. It grows on mountain slopes between 2,600-4,200 m above sea level. In Sichuan and Yunnan.
