What it is like
A shrub. It loses its leaves during the year. It grows 1.8 m tall. The leaves are narrowly oval and 2-3 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. The flowers are white and the fruit are red. They are 8-9 mm across.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. It grows in dry stony places in northern China.
