What it is like
It grows attached to other trees. The vine or stem is 3-4 cm across. It is green. The leaves are alternate and large. They are 40-50 cm long by 35-40 cm wide. There are holes in the leaves. The flowering stalk is 6-10 cm long.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in areas with a rainfall of 1,000 mm per year. In Central America it grows up to 1,100 m above sea level.
