What it is like

A woody creeper. It loses its leaves during the year. The leaf stalks have red hairs when young. The leaves vary. They are oval or heart shaped and simple. with deep lobes. They can have 3 or 5 leaflets spread like fingers on a hand. The leaves are 4-9 cm long by 3-8 cm wide. The flowers are small andin groups 10-15 cm long. The fruit are black berries 1 cm across.

It is a temperate plant. It is native to northwest China. It is drought resistant. In Sichuan.
