What it is like
A shrub. It grows 1.5 m tall. The leaves are alternate or on small side shoots. They have 3 leaflets. They are oval and 4-15 mm long by 4-10 mm wide. The flowers are yellow. They are on side shoots amongst the leaves. The fruit is oval and fleshy. It is 6-12 mm long by 5-7 mm wide. They are dull red when ripe. They have 1 seed.
Where it is found
It is a Mediterranean climate plant. It can grow in arid areas.
