What it is like

A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. The roots are carrot-shaped. They are 10-20 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. The stems are usually twining and 1-3 m long. The leaves are opposite. They are 3-8 cm long by 1-4 cm wide. They are grey-green underneath. The flowers are tube shaped and yellow-green.


Where it is found

It is a temperate plant. It grows in south western China. It grows in mountain scrub and grasslands between 1,900-3,000 m above sea level. In Sichuan and Yunnan.
