What it is like
A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. The roots are carrot shaped and 10-20 cm long by 1-4 cm wide. There are several stems. They are 26-35 cm tall. The branches are slender. The leaves are grouped near the top. The flowers occur singly and are pale purple with purple spots.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. It grows in alpine scrub and grassy slopes. It grows between 2,700-3,600 m above sea level. It grows in the Tsinling mountains in China.
