What it is like
A shrub. It grows 4 m tall. Young shoots are hairy. The leaves are 15-50 cm long by 5-17 cm wide. The fruit are yellow to orange and 2-3 cm across. There are 2-9 seeds.

It is a tropical plant. It grows in cloud forests between 1,000-2,200 m above sea level.
