What it is like
A herb. It grows 8-28 cm tall. There are sterile branches from the axils of the leaves. The leaves on the stem are opposite and almost fan shaped. They are 1-2 cm long by 5-12 mm wide. They narrow towards the base.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. In central China it grows in shaded and wet places in forest undergrowth between 1,000-2,000 m above sea level.
