What it is like
A shrub or small tree. The leaves are narrowly oval. They are 15-30 cm long. They have dense soft hairs underneath. The flowers have brown petals. The fruit are about 5 cm long. They have claw like round lumps.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in forest clearings. In Colombia it grows between 20-250 m above sea level.
