What it is like
A medium sized evergreen tree. It grows 30 m tall. The leaves are 30-50 cm long with 7-11 leaflets. The flowers are catkins. Male catkins are in clusters of 5-8. The fruit is a nut 6-8 cm long by 4-6 cm wide.
There is only one Annamocarya species.
