What it is like
A shrub. It grows 2-4 m tall. It can grow attached to trees. The leaves are scattered and 7-13 cm long by 4-6.5 cm wide. The flower tube is 6-11 mm long. The fruit is a berry 8-9 mm across. It is dark purple.

It is a temperate plant. It grows on mountain slopes between 1,200-2,600 m above sea level.
