What it is like
A bamboo. It grows 10-14 m tall. The culms are 2-3 cm wide. The internodes can be 4 angled. They are 20 cm long. There are 3 leaves on the end branches. They are narrowly oval and 20-23 cm long by 2 cm wide.
Where it is found
It is a subtropical plant. It grows in broad-leaved forests between 1,600-2,200 m above sea level. In Sichuan and Yunnan.
