What it is like

A small palm. It grows 1-3 m tall. The trunk is 1-2 cm across. It has a sheath 10-20 cm long. There are 5-13 leaves in the crown. There are 15-20 leaflets on each side. It puts our several flowering shoots from the same node on the trunk. The fruit are greenish-yellow and turn bright red when ripe.
