What it is like
A small shrub. It has a few erect stems that are 1 m tall and branched. The leaves are thin and slightly leathery. They are yellowish green and curve downwards. They are 4-6 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. They are oval with a rounded tip. The flowers are in compact groups. They are white tinged with pink. They have a sweet scent. The fruit can be 6 cm long by 4 cm wide. They are oval or pear shaped and green, yellow or white. They are edible. They are 3-4 seeds and these are 3 cm long.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in woodland on Kalahari sands.
