What it is like
A large tree. It grows 30 m tall. The bark is rough and slightly cracked. The leaf stalks are 2 cm long. The leaves are 7-13 cm long and oblong or sword shaped. The flowers are in groups. The petals are twice as long as the sepals.
There are about 40 Mangifera species. An unresolved name in The Plant List.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. They grow in the humid tropics. It grows in mid elevations above sea level. It can grow up to 1,000 m above sea level.
