What it is like

A herb. It grows 15 cm tall. It has erect tuberous roots. These are 3-5 cm across. The leaves are 8 cm long by 0.4 cm wide. They narrow at the base into a short leaf stalk. The flowers are greenish and occur as 3-5 together.

There are about 160-200 Ceropegia species. Probably now in Apocynaceae.


Where it is found

A tropical plant. It grows in the Western Ghats.
