What it is like
An erect herb. It grows 5-10 cm tall. It forms tubers. They are 3-5 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. The stems are usually unbranched. The leaves have short leaf stalks. The lower leaves are narrowly oval and 2-5 cm long by 1 cm wide. The flowers occur singly.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows between 1,200-1,400 m above sea level.
