What it is like

A tall evergreen shrub. The branches and fruit stalks have a downy covering. The leaves are oval to sword shaped. They are about 4 cm long. The fruit are berries. This may now be a synonym of Pellegrinia grandiflora (Ruiz & Pav. ex G. Don) Sleumer.

Also put in the family Vacciniaceae.
