What it is like
An evergreen tree. It grows 20 m tall. The leaves are narrowly oval and 15-25 cm long by 5-8 cm wide. They taper to the tip. The seeds or nuts are oblong and 15-20 mm across. They are in a capsule that is round and 5-6 cm across.
Where it is found
It is a subtropical plant. It grows in Yunnan in China. It grows in forest between 600-2,000 m above sea level.
