What it is like

A shrub. It grows 60 cm tall. The leaves have 4 leaflets. These are 3-12 mm long by 1-4 mm wide. The flowers occur singly and they are yellow. The pods are cylinder shaped and 3-4 cm long.

There are 80 Caragana species. They grow in temperate continental climates.


Where it is found

It is a temperate plant. It grows on dry slopes between 1,200-4,700 m above sea level in north and central China.
