What it is like

A herb or small shrub. It grows 1-3 m tall. The branches are divided to give a zig-zag appearance. The young stems are angled. The fruit are 7-12 mm across. They are round and light green turning orange to red when ripe.

It is a tropical plant. It grows in tropical mountain rainforest. It occurs between 500-3,500 m above sea level.
