What it is like

A shrub or small tree. The leaves are thin and broadly oval. They taper to the tip. The veins are deeply impressed. The flowers are 3 angled with narrow petals. The fruit is smooth and almost round and about 5 cm long.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It grows in forests near the Panama canal zone. In Colombia it grows near sea level.
