What it is like
A cane or rattan. It grows 2 m long. The leaf sheaths are green. They have spreading spines. The flowering shoots are 1 m long. The fruit occur in bunches. They are round and 2-3 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. The fruit peel is yellow and the flesh is white.

It is a subtropical plant. It grows up to 1,000 m above sea level.
