What it is like
A vine. The stems can be 4 m long. It has a tuberous root. The leaves are clustered on stunted side shoots and opposite on normal shoots. The leaves are broadly oval and 3.5-5 cm long by 1-1.5 cm wide. They are hairy.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows between 400-1,300 m above sea level.
