What it is like
A tree. It grows 3-35 m tall. The leaves are oblong and 13-40 cm long by 4-10 cm wide. The flowering shoots are 7-16 cm long. The flowers are 3-5 mm long. The fruit are oblong and have a dull rough surface. They are 3-6.5 cm long by 1.3-4 cm wide.
There are about 200-250 Terminalia species. They are tropical.
