What it is like

They are oval and 2-7 cm long by 1-3 cm wide. They are in a ring at the base of the plant. The flowers occur singly on long stems. The flowers are mauve. Flowers are produced after the first rains. The fruit is a capsule 1.3-1.7 cm long.
