What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It grows up to 6 m tall. The stems are 4-7 cm across. It is similar to Bridelia ferruginea but with more narrow stipules, smaller leaves and fewer flowers in a group.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in the forest and in high rainfall Miombo woodland. It grows between 1,000-1,675 m above sea level. It is often on sandy soils.
