What it is like
A small tree. It can have one or several stems. It grows from a tuber. The leaves are 10 cm long by 5 cm wide. They have fine hairs. The flowers are in groups of up to 25 towards the ends of branches. They are red inside and yellow outside. They have a bad smell. The fruit are oval.

It is a tropical plant. It grows in open woodland.
