What it is like
A tree. It grows 15 m high. The small branches have brown hairs. The leaves are narrowly sword shaped and 6-12 cm long by 3-5 cm wide. They taper to a point at the tip and are rounded at the base. There are coarse teeth along the edge. The nuts are oval.

It is a temperate plant. It grows in central and southern China.
