What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It can grow 15 m high. The trunk is 35 cm across. The leaf stalks are 2-6 mm long. The leaf blade is narrowly oval and 12-18 cm long by 4-6 cm wide. The fruit are 4-7 mm across.
There are about 100-170 Antidesma species.

A tropical plant. It grows in rainforest. It is often near streams. It grows between 20-1,200 m altitude.
