What it is like
A tree. It grows 10-15 m high. The trunk is 20-30 cm across. It has cracks long it. The leaves are opposite and entire. They are 10-14 m long by 4-6 cm wide. They are oval. The leaf stalk is 2 cm long. The female flower stalk has one flower. The male flowers are at the ends of branches. The fruit is almost round and 3-5 cm across. There are several seeds.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. In Bolivia it grows between 200-500 m altitude. It grows in areas with 1500 mm of rain per year.
