What it is like
A tree. It grows 25-35 m high. The trunk is 90 cm wide. The leaves are alternate and simple. They are 10-18 cm long by 4-6 cm wide. The fruit is 4 cm long by 1.5 cm wide. It has a hard stone with one seed inside.
There are about 100-250 Beilschmeidia species. They are in the tropics.
