What it is like
An erect herb. It grows to 70 cm high. The lower leaves are oblong. They have sharp teeth. The upper leaves do not have stalks and clasp the stem. Leaves are 1.5-7.5 cm long. They are oval. The flower heads are yellow. The fruit is an achene.
There is only one Blumeopsis species.
Where it is found
It is a subtropical plant. It grows in Nepal to about 1000 m altitude.
