What it is like

A plant which can lie along the ground or be climbing. The leaves are long and green. They are 25 cm long. They have cylinder shaped pitchers. These are fatter at the base. They are green or pink. They are 10 cm long.

There are about 70-85 Nepenthes species. All are carnivorous. There is only one genus in the Nepenthaceae.


Where it is found

A tropical plant. In the Philippines it grows in Luzon and Bontoc. It suits hardiness zones 11-12.
