What it is like

A small straggling shrub. It grows 80 cm tall. The leaves are about 18 cm long by 7 cm wide. They are narrowed at both ends. The flowers are in groups at the ends of branches. The flowering groups are 15-45 cm long. The fruit are capsules 3-4 cm long.

There are about 40-70 Asystasia species.
