What it is like

A small climbing herb or shrub. The leaves are 13-20 cm long by 7-14 cm wide. They are broadly oval and heart shaped at the base. The veins are distinct underneath. The leaf stalk is hairy and 5-11 cm long. The flowers are in the axils of leaves and they can occur in large numbers. They are funnel shaped and pale purple. The fruit is a berry 8-12 mm across.
