What it is like
A herb that grows 35-40 cm tall. It has prickles. The leaves are grey to bluish-green. They have spines around the edge. The flowers occur singly in the axils of the leaves. The fruit capsules are oblong and 3-4 cm long by 1.5-2 cm wide. The seeds are round and black and 2 mm across.
