What it is like
A small tree. It grows 14 m tall. The leaves are alternate and simple. There can be teeth along the edge. The flowers are 0.3 mm across. They are green to yellow and in groups. The fruit are 12 mm long and yellow to orange or red. They are a capsule with a fleshy layer around the seed. This is orange.

It is a tropical plant. It grows in forests up to 400 m above sea level. It grows on flood plains and river banks.
