What it is like
A small tree. It can grow to 22 m high. The leaves are alternate and simple. The flowers are about 0.5 mm across. They are yellow and in tight groups. The fruit are 12 mm long. They are yellow to orange or red. The seeds have an orange fleshy layer or aril.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in the forest up to 1,700 m above sea level.
