What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It grows 15 m tall. The trunk can be 30 cm across. The young branches have a few hairs. The leaves are narrowly oval and 11-22 cm long by 4-9 cm wide. The flowering shoots are in the axils of leaves. Male ones are in groups of 1-4 and female flowers as 1-2 together. The fruit are oval to round and 12-25 mm long and wide. There are 2 or 3 seeds.

It is a tropical plant. It grows between 35-380 m above sea level.
