What it is like
A taro family herb. It grows 1 m tall. There are several leaves together. The leaf stalk can be green to a brownish-red. It is 18-90 cm long. The leaves are broadly oval to sword shaped and green but more pale underneath. There are 4 flowering stalks together. These stalks are yellowish-green. The spathe is 17 cm long and slightly curved.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in primary and secondary forests and can be on limestone. It grows between 250-1,300 m above sea level.
