What it is like
A fibrous rooted herb. It grows 50-90 cm high and spreads 40-100 cm wide. The leaves have 3 parts. They are lightly downy and have coarse teeth. The flower stem are upright and branching. They have large flowers. These are white but can be pink. The seed heads are fluffy.

A temperate plant. It can grow in shade. It needs moist well-drained soils. It suits hardiness zones 6-9. In Sichuan and Yunnan.
