What it is like
A herb. It has stems 30-45 cm long. The leaves are narrowly sword shaped and can have a few hairs. The flower panicles are small and dense. The flower petals are pink or blue. There is a subspecies in Mozambique.
There are about 100 Aneilema species.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in woodland and open forest.
