What it is like
A tree. It grows 16-16 m tall. The leaves are about 18 cm long by 11 cm wide. They are leathery and oval but most broad in the top half and wedge shaped at the base. The flowers are clustered near the ends of branches. There is one in each leaf axil. The fruit are 3-4 cm across and have 5-6 seeds.
There are about 75 Manilkara species.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows in forests along the seashore.
