What it is like
A fern. It is a herb that keeps growing from year to year. It has a short creeping rhizome. The scale are yellow to dark red-brown. The fronds are in tufts and arch over. They are 40 cm long. The stalk is 15 cm long. The blade is narrow and triangle shaped. It is 10-22 cm long by 3-6 cm wide.

Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in forests near rivers and in palm groves. It grows in wet acid soils between 100-2,000 m above sea level.
